Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Welcome to MapVid. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of MapVid, including our website, prompt-to-map-video generation tools, browser-based editing workflow, preview experience, and export services. By using MapVid, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Use of the Service

MapVid provides an online service for generating, editing, previewing, and exporting map-based video content from natural-language prompts and related inputs.

You may use MapVid only in compliance with these terms and applicable law.

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use MapVid.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials.
  • You may not use MapVid to violate law, infringe the rights of others, or interfere with the operation of the service.
  • You may not use MapVid to generate or distribute content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise abusive.

2. Accounts, Plans, and Payments

MapVid may offer free and paid plans, including recurring subscriptions and usage-limited features such as generation or export quotas.

By purchasing or subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • You will pay the fees and applicable taxes for the plan you select.
  • You will provide accurate billing information and keep it current.
  • If your plan renews automatically, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
  • You may cancel future renewals at any time, but fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change plan structure, pricing, limits, included features, or billing mechanics in the future. Material changes will be reflected in the service or on the pricing page before they apply prospectively.

3. Generations, Exports, and Service Limits

MapVid is a software service, not a guaranteed production pipeline.

  • Generation and export availability may depend on system load, third-party providers, moderation or security checks, geographic availability, and technical constraints.
  • We may set or enforce limits on prompt length, project size, export resolution, render duration, asset size, storage, usage volume, concurrency, or API/system access.
  • A generated preview or export job may fail, be delayed, or require retry. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or successful output for every prompt.
  • We may suspend or throttle abusive, excessive, or risky usage to protect the platform and other users.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the prompts, project inputs, uploaded assets, and video content you create in MapVid ("User Content").

However:

  • You are responsible for ensuring your User Content and your use of MapVid do not infringe third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights.
  • You grant MapVid a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and render your User Content solely as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the service for you, including generating previews, revisions, and exports.
  • This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, except to the extent retention is required for legal, security, backup, billing, or operational reasons.
  • We may remove, block, or refuse content that violates these terms, applicable law, or the safety and integrity requirements of the service.

We distinguish between:

  • Usage Data: aggregated or operational information about how the service is used, such as feature usage, job status, system metrics, and error logs.
  • User Content: the prompts, uploaded files, media, project data, and creative outputs associated with your account.

We will not use your User Content for machine-learning model training, dataset creation, or unrelated model improvement without your explicit prior consent.

5. Intellectual Property

MapVid and its software, product design, site content, branding, code, interfaces, and non-user materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.

Except as expressly allowed by law or these terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape at scale, resell, or create derivative works from MapVid or its proprietary components without permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • use MapVid to infringe others' intellectual property or proprietary rights
  • use MapVid to create unlawful or deceptive content
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or infrastructure
  • probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization
  • bypass quotas, access controls, or technical restrictions
  • use bots or automation in a way that harms the service or other users
  • upload malware or harmful code

7. Third-Party Services

MapVid may rely on third-party infrastructure and providers such as payment processors, authentication providers, AI or media providers, cloud hosting, storage, analytics, and rendering services.

We are not responsible for failures, outages, policy changes, or data handling practices of third-party services, except as required by law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to MapVid if you violate these terms, create risk for the platform or other users, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we are required to do so for legal, security, or operational reasons.

You may stop using the service at any time and may cancel your account or subscription through available account settings or by contacting us.

Upon termination:

  • your right to use MapVid ends
  • future subscription renewals will stop once cancellation takes effect
  • we may delete or disable access to your User Content, subject to legal, billing, security, backup, and operational retention needs

9. Refunds

Except where required by applicable law:

  • subscription fees are non-refundable
  • partial billing periods are not prorated or refunded
  • failed or unused time in a billing cycle does not create an automatic refund right

If MapVid introduces explicit refund rules for a specific plan or promotion, those additional rules will govern that offer.

10. Disclaimers

MapVid is provided "as is" and "as available."

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted performance.

Map output, geographic data, labeling, timing, or generated results may be incomplete, approximate, or unsuitable for a specific professional, editorial, commercial, or legal use case. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing or relying on them.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MapVid and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, business opportunity, or content, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to MapVid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice through the service or by email.

Your continued use of MapVid after the updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
