MapVid ("MapVid", "we", "our", or "us") provides software for generating, editing, previewing, and exporting map-based video content from natural-language prompts and related inputs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have when you use our website and services.

Account Information
When you create an account, join a workspace, contact support, or purchase a paid plan, we may collect information such as:

- organization or workspace details

Payment Information
Payments are processed by our payment and merchant-of-record providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems, but we may receive billing-related records such as:
- plan name
- subscription status
- purchase identifiers
- invoice, tax, and payment status information
Usage Data
When you use MapVid, we may collect operational and technical information such as:
- pages, features, and product areas you use
- browser, device, IP address, and approximate location data derived from IP
- project activity, generation attempts, export requests, and job status events
- log files, diagnostics, crash reports, and performance metrics
User Content
We may collect and store content you submit to the service, including:
- prompts and follow-up edit instructions
- uploaded assets, files, and media
- project data and revision history
- generated previews, renders, exports, and related metadata

2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve MapVid
- create and manage user accounts
- process purchases, subscriptions, taxes, invoices, and refunds
- generate previews, revisions, and exports you request
- provide customer support and respond to billing or privacy inquiries
- detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and policy violations
- enforce our Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy
- comply with legal obligations
We may screen prompts, uploads, and generation requests through safety, moderation, abuse-prevention, or policy-enforcement systems before or during processing.
We will not use your User Content for model training, dataset creation, or unrelated model improvement without your explicit prior consent.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with:
- payment, billing, tax, and merchant-of-record providers that process purchases and subscriptions
- hosting, infrastructure, storage, analytics, authentication, email, security, and logging providers
- AI, rendering, media, moderation, and workflow providers used to fulfill your requests
- professional advisers or authorities when required for legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes
- a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
4. Legal Bases and International Processing
Depending on your location, we process information based on one or more of the following grounds:
- performance of our contract with you
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service
- compliance with legal obligations

MapVid and its providers may process and store information in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data protection rules.

- logs and diagnostics may be retained for security and reliability analysis
- projects, prompts, generated files, and exports may remain available until deleted by you, removed under our policies, or cleared under our retention practices
Backups and derived operational records may persist for a limited period after deletion.

- measure traffic and feature usage

MapVid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may also provide notice through the service or by email.
Your continued use of MapVid after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
